Autumn Festival Sports Day for the Elderly and Young

As autumn deepens, to welcome the changing seasons and embrace the sporting spirit of the 2025 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Games, the Mother's Day Care Home hosted the ‘2025 Autumn Sports Meet for Seniors and Youth’ on 15th November. This event drew numerous residents and family members together to witness the vibrant performances of our residents on the sports field.
The event commenced with a meaningful ‘Torch Relay’ ceremony. Residents participated in a paper aeroplane demonstration, learning the scientific principles behind flight. The games featured multiple events including “Bowling”, ‘Arrow Tossing’ and ‘Team Relay Races’, with the elderly fully immersed in the lively atmosphere. Throughout the event, residents displayed a more spirited demeanour than usual, fully demonstrating the positive impact of exercise on promoting physical and mental wellbeing, social interaction, and positive emotions among the elderly.
