Heartwarming Surprises for Christmas – Senior Friendship with Wisdom

9 December 2025 As the festive season approaches, the Mother's Association Nursing Home has meticulously organised the ‘Heartwarming Surprises for Christmas’ celebration. This event aims to create a rich and memorable holiday experience for residents while actively promoting community integration and intergenerational exchange.
Series One: Senior-Youth Encounters Residents and their families were guided on a visit to the Rainbow Light Supermarket, operated by the Parents' Association for the Mentally Handicapped. The event specially arranged for trainees to assist residents in personally crafting green plants and experiencing the joy of shopping. Through hands-on participation, attendees deepened their understanding of this skills training centre for individuals with intellectual disabilities. It is hoped this will broaden residents' social circles and foster community integration, keeping the elderly closely connected with society.
